CS2 CASE SIMULATOR — FAQ
What are the odds of getting a knife in CS2?
The official Valve-verified probability for a knife or gloves is 0.26% — roughly 1 in 385 cases. StatTrak variants are an additional 10% on top of the base drop, putting a StatTrak knife at about 0.026% per case.
Are the drop rates in this simulator accurate?
Yes. CS2Lab uses Valve's official rates published via Perfect World in September 2017: 79.92% blue (Mil-Spec), 15.98% purple (Restricted), 3.20% pink (Classified), 0.64% red (Covert), and 0.26% yellow (knife/gloves).
How many cases do I need to get a knife in CS2?
On average, 385 cases. But probability has no memory — some players unbox a knife within 50 cases, others go past 1,000 without one. There is no guaranteed pity system in CS2. This simulator lets you experience realistic variance for free.
Can I open all CS2 cases for free here?
Yes. CS2Lab's case simulator is completely free — no account, no Steam login, no real money. You can open any of 450+ containers: all weapon cases, sticker capsules, souvenir packages, and autograph capsules.
Does the simulator track profit and loss?
Yes. Every item you unbox is added to your session inventory with its current Steam Market value. The P&L panel shows total spent (cases + keys) vs. total value received, updated in real time.
What CS2 cases can I simulate?
All active-drop cases (Kilowatt, Revolution, Dreams & Nightmares, etc.), all older discontinued cases, sticker capsules, souvenir packages from CS2 Majors, autograph capsules, and music kit boxes — over 450 containers in total.
