Privacy Policy

1. About CS2Lab

CS2Lab (cs2lab.xyz) is a free, independent web application offering CS2 skin tools — including an AI loadout builder, case opening simulator, trade-up contract calculator, cases ROI tracker, and skin portfolio tracker. CS2Lab is not affiliated with Valve Corporation or Counter-Strike 2.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data:

  • No personal accounts. CS2Lab has no login, no registration, and no user accounts.
  • Browser localStorage. Your skin portfolio, case simulator inventory, and saved loadouts are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Steam profile (optional). If you use the Steam inventory import feature, you provide a public Steam profile URL. Our backend fetches your public Steam inventory on your behalf and returns it to your browser. We do not store your Steam ID or inventory data on our servers.
  • Anonymous analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — pages visited, session duration, and general device/browser type. No personally identifiable information is collected.
  • Advertising cookies. We display ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your interests. See Google's privacy policy for details.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide and improve CS2Lab's tools and features
  • To understand how users interact with the site (via anonymous analytics)
  • To serve relevant advertisements via Google AdSense

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties beyond the services listed in this policy.

4. Cookies

CS2Lab itself does not set cookies. However, third-party services embedded on the site may set cookies:

You can opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can opt out of personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads.

5. For EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

6. For California Users (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. CS2Lab does not sell personal information. Anonymous analytics data is not considered personal information under CCPA.

7. Data Security

CS2Lab does not store personal data on our servers. Your portfolio and simulator data lives exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We use HTTPS across all pages. Our backend APIs are rate-limited to prevent abuse.

8. Third-Party Links

CS2Lab displays links and prices referencing the Steam Community Market. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. Steam's privacy policy is available at store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement.

9. Children's Privacy

CS2Lab is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of CS2Lab after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
